The trouble with YouTubing

...is that you need one of two things that I don't have: (a) to be extraordinarily talented (or a pretty young girl), or (b) not to care about putting out high-quality or interesting videos. Neither applies to me.

Now I have a backlog of things I want to do, and neither the energy or confidence to do them. I've tried to shoot the response to the debate half a dozen times, and whatever wasn't completely incomprehensible was way too long and boring. Same goes for another video I've been trying to shoot based on notes on a philosophical definition of the word 'faith'.

My perfectionism isn't just killing me there. I have a half-finished essay on the Holy Family sitting on my computer desktop that mocks me whenever I look at it. ARGH. Paralyzing perfectionism SUCKS. God help me.

Hang in there, friend. We can't save the world through youtube or a blog, no matter how thoughtful. Put out what you have, make it short and sweet. I think we have a short attention sp...

anyway, think tiny sound bites. Of course, I write as boring and convoluted as I want on my own blog. Someone will get something good out of it regardless and when/how is not up to you. Do what you can, leave the rest for God.

This concludes a very special message sponsored by Hallmark.

Today is a good day! Br. Thomas is back in the notnoteworthy mix and you admitted to your affliction! Now I know I've got to get on Youtube! I mean, what's next? One of us bumps into a girl on the street, picks her books up and gets married? to her! Oh man, this is just what I needed! Thanks you guys. See you on Youtube, it's gonna be a doozie! :D

You know I got your back son. (colloquial prayer reference)

Matt, if you get a YouTube channel, you better name it "MARRY ME ANYONE". Heh, watch out ladies.
